DASM is an introductory program, whereas DASSM is an advanced program. The participants of DASSM are expected to have more than two years of leading role experience in an agile-based approach. DASSM explores the advanced topic of enabling Business Agility.

The exam window for the DASSM (Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master) is 12 months. As part of our commitment to providing a comprehensive learning experience, the first exam attempt is included in the price of the course. Additionally, candidates have the flexibility to retake the exam up to two more times within the 12-month period if necessary. Please note that there is a fee associated with exam retakes, which ensures that we continue to offer support and resources to help candidates succeed on their first attempt. Rest assured that our course is designed to help you prepare thoroughly for the exam and increase your chances of passing on your initial try.
DASSM exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions.
The total exam appointment is 120 minutes—30 minutes for the introduction, tutorial, and survey and up to 90 minutes for completing the exam.
The renewal cycles for both DASM and DASSM are 1 year and the PDU requirements for both are 7. Renewal for DA certification is $50 per year. However, please also note that PMI’s membership renewal fee is different and separate than the certification renewal fee. You can either hold DASM or DASSM. Though, DASSM is a higher certificate.
